Criminal Enforcement and Clinical Criminology
Keywords:

We are experiencing a period of intense debate about the criminal justice system and criminal enforcement, mediated by ideological polarizations that ignore the subjectivity of the convicted person. In this scenario, the work of Alvino Augusto de Sá stands out for its clinical perspective centered on the human being, capable of dialoguing with different currents—medical-psychiatric model, critical criminology, psychosocial—simultaneously criticizing and valuing them. His thinking maintains that it is possible to recognize individual responsibility without losing sight of the harshness of the prison system, rejecting simplifications such as absolute abolitionism or mere legal technique, always keeping the human subject at the center of reflection.
