the CNJ Resolution on indigenous people subject to criminal prosecution

The article aims to describe and emphasize the importance of Resolution nº 287/2019, edited by the National Council of Justice. This normative act establishes procedures in the judicial treatment of indigenous people subjected to criminal prosecution. The paper supports the importance of the Resolution to achieve the constitutional principle of equality, because it grants special treatment to a stratum of population that suffers peculiar violations arising from colonial historic practices.
